This is undoubtedly a service that we can provide for you. Just make sure to tell us when placing your order so that we can include the cost in your overall price and ensure we allow extra time for the fitters on the day.
Yes, this service is called whipping and can be done to make a rug out of any offcuts you have. They will be cut down and edged to your required size.
Some carpets can be fitted without underlay; however, a good quality underlay helps the carpet last longer and provides you with extra comfort and insulation.
Fitting lead times vary throughout the year, it will also depend on the type of flooring you choose, whether it is in stock, or if we have to wait for it to be delivered – and also what areas you require fitting.
This is not a service we can currently provide. However, we do only require a deposit on the materials, to secure your order with the final payment on completion.
We understand that sometimes appointments have to be changed. Wherever possible we do ask that you provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Although our fitters are experts at fitting indoor flooring; they are unable to fit artificial grass. We feel that this service is best left to those who are experts in their field. We do stock a good variety of artificial grass on a supply basis.
With everyday use, the pile of the carpet will be disturbed. You may see lighter and darker patches depending on where you are standing in the room. This might also be the case according to where the light is coming from.
We will always try our best to source specific products for you. The best way to do this is to drop into our store with full details of the product you require, and we will contact our suppliers to find the product or the best match for you. It may take a few days to track down.
For a straightforward staircase – measure the riser (height) and tread (depth) of one step. Multiply that measurement by the number of stairs that you have. This will give you the length required. For the width – measure the width of a few stairs to make sure they are the same.

Sometimes depending on the depth of your new flooring compared to your old flooring, it might be necessary to trim a door down. If you think that you may need this, then please discuss it when you place your order, and we can arrange for a qualified joiner to do this for you. There will be a charge for this service.
We usually require all furniture to be out of the room before the fitters arrive. However, if you do need help moving large, heavy items of furniture, then please let us know at the time of order so that we can ensure we send an appropriate fitting team to you. There may be an extra charge for this service.
